The Hearty Ones is a group of friends who are passionate about running and would always bond over Singapore’s favorite past time of food and sports. Run to eat, Eat to run! :D
At the same time, we also feel that we can contribute back to society with our enthusiasm and thru our common interest.
For the past years, we have dressed up as Avengers, Starwars, Toy Story characters to participate in SCMS to help raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation and CPAS and awareness for ACRES.
This year, we are back again! On the 3rd Dec, there will be characters: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Poision Ivy, Penguin, Harley Quinn and Joker from the DC comics at the SCSM running alongside with you and while you are enjoying this annual grand running event, we would like to appeal for your generosity in donating to the Jane Goodall Institute Singapore (JGIS) . Your donation will help support JGIS in making a difference to the environment, animals and people in Singapore.
About the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore)
The Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore) is the local chapter of the organisation founded by Dr Jane to empower people to make a difference for all living things.
We believe everyone can make a difference once they have knowledge and are inspired to take action. That’s why our goal is to nurture the next generation of 'Jane Goodalls’ by empowering & inspiring young people to take action for the environment, animals, and community. To achieve our goal, we developed five key programmes:
1. Inspiring people with Dr Jane's life & philosophy to nurture future ‘Jane Goodalls’
2. Roots & Shoots service learning programme
3. Environmental education through our “Eco-literacy Classes” for Secondary schools
4. Monkey Walks
5. Public talks & conferences on environment-animals-community issues in Singapore
To successfully deliver our programmes, resources are appreciated. Your kind donations will support us in making a difference to the environment, animals, and people in Singapore.
